Anonymous asked: How did you lose weight. I need help. I'm depressed due to my figure, and some days I have no motivation to get up. I binge eat because I'm upset and I cry most nights alone. Do you have any diets or tips to help me lose weight?

My sister and I have both lost our weight simply through healthy eating and exercise. I used to be in a very similar position to you- completely disliking the body I was in, and one day something inside of me just clicked and I knew that I had to better myself- for myself. I think the main thing about losing weight, is that you have to be ready. If you’re really ready to commit to a healthier lifestyle and a healthier you, then you’re already halfway there :) You have to push yourself-make no excuses and just do it. Prove to yourself and your body that YOU are in control :) Weightloss is all about mentality- and will power. Your mind gives up before your body does, so you have to just keep pushing forward (that voice in your head telling you “you can’t” is a lying little shit) My main tip would be don’t diet- sure, diets help with short term weightloss, but as SOON as you start eating normally, the weight will pile back on. Instead, live a healthy lifestyle- eating good, nutritious food, and treating yourself once in a while by indulging in foods you love (for me it’s chocolate lol) Also, if you decide to go to the gym, lift weights as well as do cardio - cardio helps with losing body fat, but cardio on its own often results in very loose/saggy skin-weight lifting helps tighten everything while you lose so (esp if you’re a girl) don’t be afraid of weights! Two sisters. Two life problems.

I know this isn’t what I normally post but  I’m posting it anyway 🎉 This is one of my sisters most recent progress pictures. She started her weightloss journey at 123kgs (around 271 pounds according to google) in August 2012 and is now around 40kgs (88 pounds) down from that. She’s the reason why I started on my own journey (I’ve lost around 20kgs so far) and if she can inspire me, she can inspire others too 😊 Feel free to follow her journey on Instagram: @gbspence annnnd that is all 😘
